Ultra-rapid charging stations gamechanger for Australian market
In a move that will revolutionise the future of the electronic vehicle (EV) market, Australian Motoring Services (AMS), has invested in a state-of-the-art ultra-rapid charging station network to be built across Australia.
Being built by Chargefox, this will be the largest ultra-rapid network of charging stations for modern EV’s connecting Adelaide to Brisbane, with the first station opening in Euroa, Victoria, later this month.
These ultra-rapid charging stations are open to all EVs with charging times much quicker than any of the fast charging stations currently available in Australia, capable of adding over 400km of range to an electric vehicle in 15 minutes.
This will make EV charging accessible, convenient, affordable and most importantly fast - a move that, as interest in EVs rises and Australian families are looking for economical, environmentally friendly and sustainable transport solutions, will open the market up to more and more Australian families.
Research shows that Australia is set to have about 2.5 million EVs on the road by 2035 and Chargefox will provide the infrastructure backbone needed to support this rapid growth and enable drivers of EVs to travel confidently between cities and states.
By investing in Chargefox, AMS is supporting OEM’s who have been calling out for investment to improve the infrastructure of this country and remove one of the major barriers that limits the adoption of EVs.
Project funding via grants has been provided by the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) and the Victorian Government.
